HOCCD is dedicated to conserving the rich heritage of the Hema people in the Congo by educating people on their native language, traditions, and cultural practices. Through language classes, storytelling, and community events, we strive to reconnect individuals with their ancestral roots and ensure the continuation of Hema identity for future generations.

HOCCD's Executive Committee In-Person Meeting

Louisville, KY Events: Kids are being taught concerning Hema Culture. The speaker, Christine Adeary, first of all refreshed the kids of their Hema origin.
She then presented some HEma values to protect; this included Hema language, social reinteractions such as greetings, respect to elders and so many aspects of the Hema Culture. She was assisted by other women in the picture.
